Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese animation series, which the main protagonist, Edward Elric, is an amputee. However, he has mechanical arm called automail for replacing his lost arm and leg. The automail is freely move by owner's thought because there are a links between the automail mechanical and the nerves of an arm.
... These thing that I mentioned is in fantasy animation. Or it might be real someday in the future. ... But who has ever thought that it will become real in this century!!
At the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), the real automail has been made!! It's called "Laboratory’s Modular Prosthetic Limbs" The theory is not much different from the animation. They made a connection between the spot of the nerves which is for controlling arm. ... This is the one of human history!!
